ABOUT US

Ephraim's Refuge (ER) is a non-profit organization created to mentor and train those desiring to grow and mature in their life of faith. During both life's peaks and valleys, we provide a safe place for spiritual growth through pastoral counseling, spirtual direction, Christian programs and life coaching. We long to come alongside you—providing ER for your soul.

SIGNIFICANCE OF OUR NAME

Ephraim in the Bible:

  • Ephraim was the second son of Joseph. In Genesis 41:52 we learn that the name means, "God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering."

  • "Therefore Jesus no longer moved about publicly among the people of Judea. Instead he withdrew to a village called Ephraim." John 11:54

  • "In the hill country of Ephraim they were given... a city of refuge." 1 Chronicles 6:16

The idea of 'refuge' is also a very significant theme in the Bible:

  • "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, and a stronghold in time of trouble." Psalm 9:9

  • "God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

  • "It will be a shelter and shade from heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain." Isaiah 4:6

  • "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him." Nahum 1:7

We want ER to be a safe place, a refuge, for those looking to live a fruitful and meaningful life like Ephraim.
